Check your caseWhat can I do if a tradesperson has done a poor job?
The Craftsman Services Act (håndverkertjenesteloven) gives you the right to work of the agreed and professional quality. If you find faults or defects, complain in writing as soon as possible, ask for them to be put right first, and consider holding back a proportionate part of the payment until they are.
The tradesperson is late — what can I claim?
If the tradesperson misses the agreed deadline, you're normally entitled to compensation for documented extra costs caused by the delay, and in serious cases to cancel the agreement. Document both the agreed deadline and the actual consequences of the delay carefully.
